Good news for anyone who enjoys the misadventures of hipsters posing as private investigators, or who just likes seeing authentic Brooklyn environs on television: HBO has ordered a second season of its comedy series “Bored to Death.” The show, created by the author Jonathan Ames (“Wake Up, Sir!”), stars Jason Schwartzman, above, as a creatively blocked novelist, also named Jonathan Ames, who begins offering his services as an unlicensed detective on Craigslist after he is dumped by his girlfriend. HBO said on Wednesday that production on the new season of “Bored to Death” would begin next year, though a premiere date was not given.
